Hello Beautiful Survivor!

Welcome to Phynyx Ministries, a place where you can obtain lots of helpful information to help you break your silence and begin to heal from being sexually assaulted. If you are not a Sexual Assault Survivor, perhaps you know someone who is. Please feel free to share this website with that person. This website is also a place where Survivor's can share their story, a poem, or words of encouragement with a survivor or anyone who chooses to visit our site.

I praise God for allowing me to survive being sexually assaulted because I now know what my purpose in this life is - and that is to be an example to those survivors who may feel that they can't move forward with their lives in a positive way. There was a time in my life when I thought that I'd never leave the confines of my mother's bedroom which was where I retreated after the attack. But I continued to pray to God for strength, peace, and sanity. I sought professional treatment and had an awesome support system.

It's been 15 years since that cold November night, but today I am happily married, have two beautiful daughters, and living life to the fullest. The road to recovery is not easy, but I made it and you can as well. Don't get me wrong, I still have flashbacks from time to time, but I've learned not to let them consume me. I know who I am and what I'm worth...I'm worth more than my attacker thought I was and like the Phoenix, I will continue to rise.

Hello Beautiful and Free Survivor!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and I want you to know that you have been set FREE!!!  Your past does not define you.  You are free from everything that has happened in your past.  You are free from everything your momma did to you, free from everything your daddy or that family member has done to you.  You are free from the bondage of the strongholds that the enemy had placed on your life.  IN THE NAME OF JESUS YOU ARE FREE FROM THE ATTACK OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE ON YOUR LIFE!!!  So I encourage you on today to be free from bondage and chains of all of the negativity that has plague your life for so many years.  I speak Healing into your life, I speak Wholeness into your life, I speak Freedom all the hurt and pain in your life right now in the name of Jesus!!!  I declare it and I decree it in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!  Be Free my Sister-Survivor!!!

April 8, 2012: Debut of the Phynyx Ministries Newsletter
  • Newsletter will be released quarterly
  • Distribution Method: Hard copy handed out at Empowerment Temple also electronically distributed via email, Facebook and Twitter

April 15, 2012: Sexual Assault Awareness Day at Empowerment Temple
  • Sexual Assault Awareness Day will be observed at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 am services
  • Awareness ribbons will be distributed to all in attendance
  • Information from Phynyx Ministries as well as other Sexual Violence agencies will be available

April 18, 2012: Sexual Assault Healing Ministry (S.A.H.M.) Meetings Begin
  • Meetings will held every other Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:30pm
  •  Family Life Center (Youth Power Zone Room) located at 1505 Eutaw Place, Baltimore MD, 21212
  • Duration:  12 weeks with 6 bi-weekly meetings/sessions
